The server is a Django API with a Vue 3 dashboard, the endpoints run a Go agent, and remote access goes through MeshCentral, which the installer sets up next to the RMM, and, optionally, a self-hosted RustDesk server on the same machine. Both are third-party projects under their own licenses, see Third-party software.

What it does

Dashboard and access

Clients, sites and agents in one dashboard, with role-based access, SSO and mandatory two-factor login (TOTP).

Remote access

Remote desktop, terminal and file browser through MeshCentral, a native agent terminal, and RustDesk as a second remote desktop.

Scripts, tasks and checks

Scripts (PowerShell, Batch, Python, Shell, Nushell, Deno), scheduled tasks and checks (disk, CPU, memory, ping, services, event log, scripts) with e-mail, SMS and webhook alerts.

Patch management

Patch management for Windows Update and the Linux/macOS package managers, with approval policies.

Inventory

Software and hardware inventory, Windows services, event log and registry.

Power and maintenance

Sleep and Wake-on-LAN for single devices and in bulk, maintenance windows and sleep/wake schedules that wake devices, install approved updates and put them back to sleep.

Health and network monitoring

Endpoint health (antivirus, firewall, disks, battery, temperatures) and agentless monitoring of network devices (ping, TCP, SNMP, HTTP(S), DNS).

Software packages

Upload installers (.exe, .msi, .msix/.appx, .pkg, .deb, .rpm) and install them on one device or in bulk, on Windows as SYSTEM or as the logged-in user. Each file is checked against its SHA-256 and signature on the device before it runs.

Reporting and branding

Reporting, branding (product name, logo, support URL) that also goes into the agents, and agents built and optionally signed on the server itself.
